This
customer first came to us in 2004 to get his car reprogramed
and upgrade the trans to handle the extra power. In a little
bit over the a weeks time he had his baby back. He drove it
around for the rest of that year happy that it would finally
spin the tires.
After
5 years of use and abuse the owner decided to have it Dynoed
again. The numbers were dramatically lower than they were in
2000. We did some testing and found out that both head gaskets
were blown.
We
pulled the motor, had it rebuilt and balanced, with new parts
to handle the boost. We put it back together and took it to
the dyno again. This time it made 540 rwhp, and 520 rwtq with
the blower belt slipping from 5200 rpms to redline. It was only
making a little over 3 psi when it started to slip. We are hoping
over the winter we can upgrade the belt and bracket set up and
see what it can really do.
